Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 14, 2025
Today I’m flying home from Las Vegas with my head swimming. Not from booze but from all the ideas I heard and people I met over the last 4 days. There were people at the conference who had never sold anything online and some that were million dollar a year Amazon sellers. Among those was Richard known on eBay as TechNSports who was at one time the largest used men’s clothing reseller on the platform.
I was also hoping to find other niche sellers because my business model is VERY different from the typical flippers who go to the bins and sell clothes. Luckily I met a guy who sells board games exclusively. Just like our hobby there are swap meets, Facebook groups and all the rest. I also met an eBay executive who video taped an interview with me for their internal teams regarding live selling on eBay. If eBay opens the door I hope to be on the short list to get access to that opportunity.
On eBay this week I have 215 live auctions running. This includes many OA pieces as that’s been a focus for us in the warehouse this month.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
