One thing that is taking me so long is that I decided to really match my new strategy for the booth that I had to retag and reprice everything. So for the books this meant going in and erasing the old price (written in pencil) and updating it. Luckily, I borrowed a chair from my neighbor because yesterday I processed about a dozen banker boxes full of books and I have more to do today.
The other piece of this that I’m really happy about is that I met my own deadline of getting this all in place prior to the Charlotte TOR at the end of the month. I know that my best audience for the booth is the local Scouting community and that’s also who we hope to see attend the TOR. Now I can encourage folks to drive over to the Sleepy Poet when they leave the TOR (it’s open late on weekends!).
I am a little bummed that it’s been two weeks since I’ve produced an episode of the podcast but now that this big project is almost over I can look over the horizon and hopefully put something together for next week. I’ve got some folks who have accepted an invitation to be interviewed now I just have to coordinate things. If you’ve missed any episodes you can find them on ScoutingHotFinds.com.
A collector saw all these Delmont patches and sent me an email asking if this was the end of it. I said YES this is the tail end of the PA collection that I got and have been selling over the last few weeks. One of the T-shirts is headed overseas and three others were bought by vintage shirt collectors so it was fun to be part of. You can see how these auctions are doing by clicking here.
