Getting collections from former professional Scouts are always just a little different. Being on that side of the fence they get stuff and often times end up with accumulations that look nothing like what a Scout or Scouter would get. This guy was active in the Trapper Trails Council in the 1990s and also seemed to get some stuff from other parts of the northwest. But this collection is a great example of what I tell people when I talk about recycling Scouting memorabilia. What do you do with 50 patches from a district camporee held in a now merged council. Tune in to find out my ideas!
If you have a collection like this that you are looking to get back into the hands of the next generation of Scouts please reach out.
