Professional Boy Scout Collection from Utah Unboxing
Getting collections from former professional Scouts are always just a little different. Being on that side of the fence they get stuff and often times end up with accumulations that look nothing like what a Scout or Scouter would get. This guy was active in the Trapper Trails Council in the 1990s and also seemed to get some stuff from other parts of the northwest. But this collection is a great example of what I tell people when I talk about recycling Scouting memorabilia. What do you do with 50 patches from a district camporee held in a now merged council. I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
