In today’s Hot Finds you can find a video that I just published which gives folks a walk-around tour of a Boy Scout Trade-O-Ree. I imagine a few of you have been to 1 or 2 of those. My idea was just to grab the camera and do a walking and talking tour of a show. It might be ideal for you to show other Scouters that have never been to one.
Speaking of TORs I know that a few of my friends in the hobby that are closer to my age are organizing shows. Shawn Wolmer is organizing on in Maryland on May 13 and my SPC co-founder Brad England is making plans for one as well. This hobby might be more connected than ever through the Internet but I see TORs sprouting in all corners of the country.
I recently posted pictures of the Cincinnati Ohio collection that was featured in an unboxing video. I’ve found that by creating an album with all the items and offering it up prior to eBay sales I can help send some pieces home and avoid the fees. With this collection I also got a little educated on Peterloon which is the oldest continuously running camporee style event in the country. A few of those beautiful patches are going in my collection.
Meanwhile on eBay I’m still loading up more original first time run auctions including some vintage unit flags that end tonight. If my family schedule works out I hope to throw up another hundred fresh JSP listings in the PM.
