Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 9, 2025

I am a little later in the day getting today’s issue out as it had to wait to when I got to Vegas to publish. But I do want to pass ahead onto anyone that is in the Amarillo TX area. An older Scouter is trying to unload his collection of mostly books and mugs, camping gear and all the miscellaneous items. I really want to help him out but for the value of the items the math doesn’t work for me to go get it. If anyone in that area is interested, I’ll gladly give you his contact info.

One of the things I preach all the time is that I’m all about helping people recycle their Scouting collections. This guy amassed his by just going to yard sales and flea markets over a lifetime. I have seen pictures, and I don’t think there are any home run items left. Some locals got in and did some picking through already. But he has a room full of this stuff and doesn’t want to leave it to his family to deal with.

So far in Las Vegas we have driven around to see some sights and got a nice lunch at a brewery. Tonight, we are going out for burgers with some of the locals. If I am brave tomorrow morning, I’ll go to ASD and see what I can stir up.

On eBay I have 229 live auctions running with many of those scheduled to end tonight. I have been focusing on OA this month so there is a lot of WWW patches in my calendar.
