The deal has been on Sunday’s after church she is supposed to spend a few hours adding stuff and during the week keep things shipped out. Then she gets 1/2 of the sales while dad pays for all the fees, stamps etc and gives her all the inventory she can handle. Sounds like a great opportunity right? Hmmmm
So today I’m doing two things to use an AED on her account. I’m taking over shipping for one. She was not giving customers a good experience and that’s just not going to work. I want buyers to get stuff in a few days after paying for it and let’s just say her shipping schedule was a bit less frequent.
The other big change is I’m giving the store a new branding and strategy. Going forward everything in the store will be $5 with free shipping. I’m also running auctions to try and help drive some traffic. She will get credit on everything that she lists so hopefully if the store comes to life she will make more of an investment in it. But it’s about impossible to outsmart your teenager and push the right buttons so I won’t hold my breath.
Meanwhile, on my bread and butter eBay store I’m running fresh new live auctions every night. As these go unsold I’m then throwing them in the store. I’ve been scanning new stuff and getting ready to do the same deal in April but with a different focus niche.
Tomorrow I’m headed to Columbia for a camping committee meeting as we continue to plan for summer camp at Barstow. The final contracts are going out for staff this week and we are locking down payments from troops before our price goes up a little bit next month.
