Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 26, 2019

At last night’s pack meeting I had one more opportunity to pitch it to the Scouting families at our church. Between the pack and three troops sponsored by the church there are around 175 kids involved in Scouting. If we can get those folks to turn out in good numbers that will be a win for walk-in traffic which is the dream of any TOR organizer.

I have spent the last two days focusing on the silent auction items. I literally am taking a collection that just came in and converting all of it to silent auction items. Many of these items are priced with $1 minimum bids which will make them some serious fodder for anybody wanting to flip stuff on eBay.

Yesterday I got a message from another collector looking to get a table. This year we have a few tables left so if you need one please reach out to me ASAP. We are looking forward to a great show.

I’m sticking with my strategy of launching fresh new auctions every day and it’s working well. Right now I have 140 auctions with some ending and new ones starting every night.

Yesterday I got 250 items bagged and tagged for the silent auction. My goal was to have 500 items in the auction but now I can see that it’s going to go beyond that so the printer is doing me a rush job to send more bid sheets. I hope to make this silent auction a real selling point to get people to come back every year.
