Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 13, 2018

One thing that I’ll do next week is give those of you that have actually purchased from my store a 24 hour notice head start. I think it’s fair to reward customers with “dibs” on the new listings. I have a special customer list that I can build from people who have already made a purchase from www.ScoutPatchHQ.com.

I got a call from my daughters GS troop leader yesterday asking what our plans were for next year. Sophia will be a 9th grader and bridging up to Seniors (9th-10th grade Girl Scouts) but the other girls in the troop are a year younger so they will still be Cadettes. My wife is pushing me hard to start up a high adventure type GS troop and I am cussing the Boy Scouts for delaying until 2019 the launch of the program that would be perfect for her. So my kid is stuck in the middle.

What I told the leader was to give me the summer to figure it out. Sophia will be a registered Venturer the day she finishes 8th grade and will work on camp as a volunteer CIT. So depending on her experience on camp staff she will either fall in love with the traditional Boy Scout program or NOT. So this summer will really help us figure out what her next step is.

The other sale I am running this week is on some items in my Patchblanket.com eBay Store. No 10 cent auctions this week but I do have some that I just launched last week.
