Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 11, 2021

This weekend the parking lot was full at Camp Barstow which was great to see. This was the largest event at the camp since COVID struck and a great warm up to having campers in a few months.

The event was the council’s annual Merit Badge University. My Program Director and I had the opportunity to speak to Scout leaders and interview someone for one of our open positions. Staff week starts June 13.

While I was at camp someone who knew I was a thread head decided to give me a small bag of patches totally for free. These were ones that had passed to him and since he was not a collector he wanted me to have them. I don’t know that I’ve ever had someone do that so it put a big smile on my face!

I have 204 live auctions on eBay including 50 really nice OA pieces. I’m trying to keep my auction strategy of launching auctions every night going right up through the summer. I don’t think it will be the volume I am doing now but I think listing every day has been a good strategy.

The Camp Book II V3 has only been out for a few days but several collectors have bought a copy of it. You can get it as a digital download or printed copy. At 1612 pages its full of great information.
