For a number of years I’ve enjoyed Dan Graham’s big lots that he puts up every so often. You can see in today’s issue that I’ve got several of his listings sprinkled in the newsletter and even though I’ve got a lot of that kinda stuff even I can’t resist putting in a bid on this big lots. Sure many of them are sewn but that’s just a lot of cloth in one lot.
There are a lot of nice Eagle Scout listings in today’ issue including the old Sea Scout on blue pictured below. I’ve got a fledgling collection of Eagle’s myself although it’s got a long way to go.
With the big run of vintage OA that closed Saturday the pickings today’s aren’t nearly as eye popping. Over on CarolinaOA.com I’ve been sharing posts about new Centennial issues from lodges in North Carolina and South Carolina. The latest one is an eye-popping 5-piece set from Croatan 117.
I will have a new episode of Thread Heads out this week. Be looking for an interview with Todd Kelly on collecting patrol medallions. I’ll probably have that out Wednesday of this coming week. Then after that Brad England should be back in the co-host chair with me for some brand new shows.
Ok if you have read down this far then today you are getting a treat – the Santeeswapper doing an English Line Dance with the Girl Scouts. While some of my North Carolina brethren were at a conclave work day I was taking my Girl Scout troop to the NC Museum of History for an event called Folk Arts. One of the co-leaders captured this video of me and my daughter doing an English Line Dance with two of our other Scouts. I’m not sharing this anywhere else so if you read to the bottom of the email you deserve a laugh. Can you say promenade!
