Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 26, 2020

I am kind of a list person and so these unsorted/organized projects are everywhere in my warehouse. To tackle that I mounted a large white board with magnets and color coded index cards this week. But I’m in a little bit of a dilemma about how to organize the project board. If any of you have suggestions email them over!

The goal of my board is to account for all the boxes of stuff that need to be gone through and listed. Rather than keeping them on a shelf for another year I want to put them in some priority ranking for action. Camp patches, NOAC, Philmont, pins, merit badges – there are some pretty big categories there.

I may have a break through in getting some material to a new home. I’ve got a collector from MO interested in driving out and getting all the paper work and misc stuff that I got from a big collection purchase about 4-5 years ago. It’s stuff I don’t have a use for but would be appreciated back home.

I have some auctions ending tomorrow night on camp neckerchiefs. I am also running OA flap auctions on two of my accounts OApatch and Patchsniper that will start ending the middle of next week. If all goes well I’ll get auctions rolling on all my accounts next week to add new stuff.

Coming up Tuesday my camp staff is having our first virtual get together via Zoom. There are things we can do to start training and especially lesson plans now so that we can be ready to open camp on time if the good signs continue that the virus is on the decline.
