Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 3, 2018

Last night I met the Cubmaster to get the food squared away for the concessions. We have decided to sell everything very reasonable to serve the customers. So for example we are going to have a hot dog plate with drink, chips and dessert for $3 or you can upgrade to a BBQ sandwich plate for $4.

The thing I am most excited about is in the 2nd year of the event we have 18 table renters that are new to the show this year. Many of them are just getting 1-2 tables which will make for a lot of variety in the room. The other thing I’m looking forward to is the silent auctions that I’m organizing. Whatever can be sold (minimum bids $1) doesn’t have to move to my new warehouse!

Terry Grove is coming to the show to sell his books. I think there need to be more reference books and resources for collectors and Terry has been one of the few authors writing new material. If anybody coming to the show has Eagle Scout paperwork Terry is asking that you bring it so he can go through it for needs.

This week I’m running a wave of 10 cent auctions as I continue to clean out my store of slow selling items. It’s ironic that stamps now cost 50 cents each and I’m selling patches for 10 cents but hey auctions are the magic of eBay.
