Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 11, 2021

I published another unboxing video this week featuring the collection of a retired professional Scouter who served in KY and UT. I bought this one from his daughter and it was a fun one to put on film. Would it be corny to say I’m actually excited about all the “Your Council Name Here” sample patches I got?

Many collections that I get have value in the odd ball stuff rather than something so obvious like rare OA flaps or felt camp patches. This one has some interesting camp items like staff belt buckles that I’m sure will find a new home.

Yesterday I listed a bunch of stuff from the Central North Carolina council including a bunch of council and district event patches. These came from a collection that I bought a while back on another road trip. You can see them all in my eBay store.

On eBay I have 278 live auctions. This week I’m continuing to list my National Jamboree items and burn through a collection of Egwa Tawa Dee 129. The capstone at the end of the week is another 100+ vintage OA issues.

This weekend I’m very excited to be attending a staff work weekend for Camp Barstow. This is the first time we will have our staff together since the October 2020 open house. There are lots of projects to be completed and with the help of the staff, OA, and other volunteers we hope to make a big dent in the list.
