Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 1, 2016
My next Scouting journey will be as a Tiger Den Leader next year with my son Patrick as we start his trail through Scouting. We’ve found a house in Charlotte so now I get to look forward to him going to a round up at school and getting super siked about joining a den with his new friends. We hope to find an established troop for my daughter as she begins work on her Girl Scout Silver Award. Venturing is also just over the horizon in a few years.
Even though I went to a pair of OA conclaves in April you won’t find any of my stuff flipped on eBay. It’s not that I had some exotic strategy to outsmart everyone I was just too busy to make it happen. You can see in this block some other folks were a little sharper than me.
This summer I will be bringing back my podcast radio show. I think I can get it back to a bi-weekly format with interesting interviews. If you have anyone that you think I should interview or interesting topics to pick up then please send me an email and I’ll start making some notes. With the 2017 Jamboree coming up in a little over a year there are plenty of ideas swirling around my head.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
