Thread Heads Episode #9: Hitting The Delete Button in the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group
In episode 9 of the video chat show for Boy Scout memorabilia collectors Brad and Jason cover a lot of ground. Girl Scout proficiency badges are first up as Jason offers a short primer on collecting these. The next topic is times that we’ve had to downsize our collections. As a former professional Scouter he has a unique perspective on this subject. The main topic for the night is talking about what gets deleted in the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group. As the admins for a 7,500+ member group there are occasions where we have to step in and pull the rope on some topics. Brad has a segment on the value of FOS (Friends of Scouting) strips in the hobby. The show concludes with an eBay ninja trick on giving your patches an address.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
