Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 1, 2018

I think they have taken an interesting approach to the logjam of cataloging the last 10 years of OA issues since the Blue Book effort wrapped up. It sounds like they have the architecture to grow the catalog out and add functions that would be very helpful to collectors including print on demand PDFs and potentially a needs list generator.

These guys have a high standard for image quality. That will be appreciated by those of you looking at the site and cursed by those of you that are willing to contribute images. Ultimately they are trying to build out the best possible version of an OA catalog site and part of that vision is you need a high quality scan so you can see what the thread differences are etc.

I would describe the site has being in a soft launch period where they are talking to people that would be the right fit to add lodges. They have started to move from beyond the original VA only footprint and have some well known collectors from PA getting some items listed. The website is www.Patchvault.org if you want to go check it out.

I am back at it with more 10 cent auctions. I like running these at the end of the month when I see how many of my free 1000 listings are remaining from my store subscription.
