Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 16, 2023
For fun camp staff likes to put on vintage uniforms every Thursday at camp. We break out the old greens and many of the staffers will put on old garrison-style caps and some have campaign hats. It’s a fun way to promote Scouting history and I think it has caught on with some of the campers.
As summer camp season his here I just want to remind everyone about my Thrifty Merit Badges option in my Shopify Store. Here troops can get modern-era plastic-backed merit badges for almost half of what it costs to buy them in the Scout Shop.
I have 304 live auctions on eBay this week. My summer schedule has included very little time for working on listings but this weekend when we have our 24 hours off I hope to load up more to keep the momentum going.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
