Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 19, 2016

SHF_jun_19

One reason the Sunday issue of the newsletter is my favorite is because of all the really cool stuff that ends on a typical Sunday. In this issue you can find cool insignia, rare OA and loads more up for bids.

Is it a sign of the patch crazy times that OA events so small that only a handful of lodge brothers could attend still see delegate items issued. As long as other brothers in the lodge have the chance to buy them I’m not against it. I just hate to see patches made in such small quantities that kids who were chosen or couldn’t afford the ticket have no chance of getting the patch.

I don’t remember ever seeing that Region 7 forestry camp patch in the Hot Finds. Even after doing this newsletter since 2009 I still see unique pieces that I haven’t run across. You never know what estate sale finds will make their way up to auction on the marketplace.

Many of the featured items in this block are part of my eBay clearance sale in a few select categories. Some patches in those categories are down to practically junk box prices that you might see at a TOR.
