Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 22, 2025
People are still finding raw collections all the time in the wild. I got an email yesterday from a FB friend. He came across a small Region V cache that included some really killer OA including a totem pin. Nice! I gave him some information and suggested a few people he could reach out to.
I got a call yesterday from a guy claiming to have purchased a collection where the guy was trying to put together a museum. But after seeing some photos through text I think this guy was just good about keeping pictures and his paperwork. So far I haven’t seen anything too interesting. But we will see. As always a non collectors idea of a museum is MUCH different than ours.
When I get back to civilization tomorrow, I will be anxiously watching my email inbox. Before leaving I made someone an offer on a warehouse unit. He is not sure they want to sell so it’s definitely a toss up as to what their answer will be. I either go back to GO and start over or take this opportunity to the next step.
On eBay I have 230 live auctions for sale on some good looking OA and more. I am about to hit the final week of Q2 in the business and am hoping to finish strong. With no national event this summer we won’t see a jump in activity in late July like we do in a NOAC or Jamboree summer.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
