Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 24, 2025

As the summer time can put many of you on the road today I want to shout out what I hope is a destination for patch collectors. If you are traveling through the Queen City through the air or via I77 or I85 this summer consider stopping at the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall. It’s always rated as one of the Top 10 places to shop in Charlotte with over 200 vendor booths. Mine is 100% Scout stuff and it’s on the back wall.

One of the unusual things in my booth is two giant tubs of dollar patches. Since TORs only happen sparingly in the summer I went ahead and took my bins to the booth to see what I could do. The booth also features framed artwork, uniforms, books, mugs, 3D items and other things that don’t like to go in the mail.

The best part is the store is open just about 365 days a year and I don’t have to be there to man the booth. The nice folks up front will ring up your purchase using my Vendor number. I’ll probably make a trip out there as early as Thursday. My son is a lifeguard at a local pool this summer and since I am his Uber driver it’s not that far away.

On eBay I have 183 live auctions running on OA, SAPs and more. I have a shortened week in the warehouse having just come off vacation. We are working to sort out JSPs and then CSPs later in the week.
