Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 5, 2024

When you have been collecting Scout patches since you were 14 years old getting a big collection is like a Christmas present. But much like Christmas morning somebody has to clean up from the festivities. Yesterday I got the last of the boxes opened and completed the rough sort of everything. I got the truck swept out and ready to return today. Now it’s time to really see what I put all the energy and money into.

 

These are the boxes that were left after all the books and uniforms were taken out of the truck. These boxes hold some unique items like BSA board games, bowling ball bags and signal kits. But some of the boxes also have binders of patches which we are almost all done stripping and sorting. It’s a chore and will probably take me the rest of the summer to truly process and photograph the items to resell.

 

On eBay I have 189 auctions running on pins and patches. We are leaving for the beach tomorrow so I’ll try and get a few more scheduled today before we take off.
