Precious Metals Hit All Time High!
I read this week that with the economic uncertainty that gold prices climbed over $1600 per ounce. I don’t think these vintage Scout medals can equal that pound for pound but they did do extremely well at auction recently on eBay. You gotta love the antique dealer who picked up two Exploring Silver Awards and was able to quickly sell the 2nd. The leader of the pack was obviously the Dieges & Clust Eagle. Looks like somebody knew what they were doing with the minimum bid because the price was right for somebody.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
