Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 16, 2024

 

I know this has happened to you before. Your normal routine is interrupted by something small and your whole day gets knocked off balance? We had some workmen show up early yesterday and instead of putting the finishing touches on the Hot Finds I got caught up. As my normal schedule is to send it out early I just never came back to it.

 

So all that to say there is a chance some of the items I had picked for this issue may have already ended – sorry about that! But as we are heading into a big patch trading event with the 2024 NOAC there is a lot of energy in the hobby.

 

This week I’m trying to put some projects to rest as I prepare to be gone for a long stretch. My son and I are going camping with friends next week on an annual trip to the High Country Bus Festival. Yes the VW crowd gets together every July in the mountains of NC and we’ve enjoyed spending a week tubing in the river and generally taking it easy. But this year on the calendar that also means rolling right into NOAC and being gone for 2 weeks in this stretch.

 

On eBay I have 74 live auctions. I’d like to say this was all planned to cruise into the busy NOAC season with less up for bids. But NO I have just had a cycle in the warehouse where we stalled out on getting some projects finished and things are still slow. For some reason everyone (including me!) likes to go on vacation during the summer.
