This week before leaving for NOAC I’m camping with my friend and his family up in the mountains of NC on the river. Yesterday we took our chairs out to the middle of the river (yes its shallow) and just sat down to cool off and tell some stories. A week to decompress before NOAC.
I am really looking forward to NOAC. I got lucky and our council contingent decided to rent a van to haul all the gear and luggage out to Colorado. It would have cost our contingent almost $2k in airline bag fees so this was a really good solution. Special shout out to John C. who is driving it all out there and back. I drove to Columbia Sunday to get my bags on the van as well. We are meeting at the airport in Charlotte at 5 AM on Monday to catch our plane out.
I think it’s cool that they have moved the event out West especially to a mountainous state so we can see another part of the country. It’s going to be a journey to get all the East coasters out there but life is a trip and I’m sure we will all make good memories. If you see me at NOAC please stop by and say hello!
The week leading into NOAC I have
50 auctions running on eBay focused on old camp patches and some neat SAPs.
