Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 27, 2019

Today I’m going to my antique mall to restock. I try and get out there about once per month to clean up and add things to the booth. I’ve got a bunch of $1 patches to add plus uniforms, signs, shirts and just lots of 3d stuff that is bulky to ship on eBay. If you are every in Charlotte it’s only 20 minutes from the airport! www.santeeswapperstore.comhas all the details!

If you saw the video that I posted in the last newsletter I have come to an agreement with the Scouter to purchase the items. I will not get to the warehouse today to sort any of it out but will do so later in the week. I’m looking forward to creating a display based on the father son Eagle Scout medals and merit badge sashes in the group. I will have that on display at Thursday’s COH for my daughter’s troop.

Is there anybody out there that is interested in the portfolios that John Pleasants sold a few years ago? I’ve got some available from stripping out a collection and I’m willing to sell them. These were pretty cool 11×17 cases that snapped closed. The ones I have are a bronze/gold color.

With free auctions left at the end of the month I’ve launched 193 auctions to close out August. With an anchor store you get 1,000 free auctions per month but actually getting that much stuff scanned and listed is the real challenge. I got 50 new auctions created yesterday afternoon and felt like I had done something.

This week I hope to make some calls and get a podcast recorded along with some more TOR promo recordings. It’s a balance to juggle family, business and these side projects but with school back in session it all gets a little easier.
