This has been a pretty busy week for me. I published a new eBook for the hobby and last night got out another episode of my Scouting Hot Finds Radio podcast. My guest this week was Angi Diller and I’ve got the link and all the information down in this issue of the newsletter.
My show with Angi Diller kicks off a series of shows I’m doing on how people make money in the hobby to feed their patch habit. Some people have some really interesting strategies for finding Boy Scout memorabilia and turning the items they don’t need into cash to keep the cycle going. First up I’m exploring the topic of selling on consignment and having pickers with Angi who is an eBay Powerseller in Michigan.
Selling on consignment was actually the way that I really got started seriously on eBay. However, ten years ago when I got my first big collection in I made lots of mistakes. In the interview with Angi we cover a range of topics to help anyone listening avoid making the rookie mistakes if you decide to sell on consignment.
If you listen to the interview with Angi and have some of your own tips to contribute I invite you to post them on my website. I’m sure there are things that we didn’t even think of which are key to running a consignment business on eBay.
I don’t have all the answers so if you have some suggestions for show topics in this series please send me an email. I’ve got Craigs List, estate sales, flea markets, eBay farming, antique stores, digging names just to mention a few but you might think of some more.
