Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 6, 2015

SHF_sep_6

I hope you get a chance to go through today’s issue and see all the unique auctions that I’ve featured. There is a great mix of the old and the new!

The sash below includes one of the Air Scout Candidate patches so I’d say that dates it more to the 1940s. This block has some other cool patches from that time including eBay seller whitdog1972 that has some air themed merit badges ending today.

I have to confess I am not in the corner of collectors who have an interest in OA fundraiser patches. Limited edition over priced trading post patches just don’t do anything for me. I understand that it’s all for a good cause but you won’t find a frame of those in my OA display.

As a follow up to an earlier message I want to thank Rick Bedsworth and everyone who purchased the special edition Centennial jacket patch for the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group. Through the fundraiser the FB Group was able to support the ISCA charity through a $500 donation. Rick is handling getting the money to the charities.

I’ve cut off the auto relist on my auctions and will wind them down over the next couple of days. From there all my NOAC inventory will be placed in my eBay store at www.Patchblanket.com at fixed price. I figure that it’s not a bad problem to put several hundred patches in the store although selling them in the weeks after the event at auction was the plan.
