I thought I’d share a picture from the warehouse that I took last week after cataloging all the unlisted inventory that is ready to be photographed. I’m sure in every business you have been in there are a string of processes for how things are done. So in my warehouse we have implemented this card system whereby each card corresponds to a box that is ready to be photographed and begin the journey to going live.
At this point I’m running out of room on the shelves so the SKU numbers are selected based on where we have space. In the old days the two letters at the beginning might have told me who’s collection this came from or geographically where but now it’s just about where can I find space. But you can see we have event patches, shoulder strips, camp patches, NOAC and more ready to go.
Each box represents roughly 200 patches as these boxes are skinny 24″ long bins. My part time photographer can generally get through 1-2 boxes each day she comes in. So before sorting another box we have enough inventory to keep us busy until 2025 rolls around. But that’s a good thing!
On eBay I have 132 live auctions featuring OA and camp patches. Having seen the board you can tell these are my WY boxes from the most recent sort of all camp patches I’ve purchased.
