Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 26, 2017

Right now my patch basement (and by extension the 1 car garage) is busting at the seams and I have to get it under control. So what I’ve decided to do for now is expand with a larger storage unit and maximize the utility by building shelving so I can pack it all in but be able to easily pull items. My hope is that the patch basement where I work out of can also have enough room where I can look at my collection once in a while.

For example one of the collections that I really want to organize is my OA name and number collection. I have ALOT of needs (maybe 100 or so) but since I’m kinda anal about these things I really want to have it all in binder and labeled before I go all in getting needs.

My other concern is that I’ve got the opportunity to purchase some more Scout stuff this fall and I need to have a place ready to sort and organize it all. The garage had a dehumidifier running 24/7 so that’s not a bad choice but that means it also can’t serve double duty as a warehouse.

I am also working on a prototype of a system to help me get more stuff on a table at a TOR. This is something I used last march and I’m re-purposing it for this weekend’s Atlanta TOR. I’ll share a picture Sunday of how it actually held up. Basically I am hoping to go vertical and be able to get more inventory on a TOR table.
