In year 4 of the Charlotte Trade-O-Ree I have invited the BSA Supply Group (Charlotte warehouse) to have tables at the event so they can sell clearance and discontinued items. Back in the day some of you may remember attending their sidewalk sales that were put on with big tents in the parking lot on Westinghouse Blvd. You might could say the sidewalk sale is coming to the Charlotte TOR! So mark your calendars for March 27-28 where the supply folks will be set up right in the fellowship hall with the rest of us patch hounds.

You can get all the details including downloading the flier (you know in case you want to reserve tables) at Our show has 100 table and includes free admission to all, silent auctions, concessions and now the chance to see what’s in the back of the national supply warehouse.

My second big announcement for this issue is that Best Hobby Pages is bringing back a collector favorite. Many of you will recognize the heavy vinyl pages that are double sided with a white center. These were pages that people said you could always get at the Roanoke TOR so I’ve just started calling them the Roanoke Page. Check out the video to get the complete story.

Offering vinyl pages is a departure for Best Hobby Pages but what I’m trying to do is think of BHP as more of a hobby supply business. So in this case I had collectors asking me where they could get their hands on these unique pages so I found a supplier to get them ordered. Of course I will still keep the brand anchored to our PAGE system but some collectors are loyal to these Roanoke pages and I want to be able to stock them as well.

I am leaving in a few minutes to drive to Fort Myers FL for a summer camp trade show. I stayed up to the wee hours of the morning finishing the leaders guide for Camp Barstow and now with my program director we are going fishing for some troops to fill up our registration calendar.
