Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter October 07, 2022

This week I published an interview that I think many of you would be curious to hear. Straight from the Jamboree Chairman I got the low down on visitors and patch trading for the upcoming 2023 Jamboree. We are living in a lucky time where the leadership recognizes that patch trading is a fun element of a national event and treats it as a scheduled and planned for activity.

You can go back and watch the episode to listen in on all the options patch hounds have to participate in the Jamboree. By my count they include three good options: staff, go with a troop or coming up as a visitor. I believe I’m going to choose the troop option so that I can get to do all the fun stuff that the Scouts do.

On eBay I have 194 live auctions running including R&W community strips, neckerchiefs and more. I now have my listing room all set up so I’m ready to start cranking out some fresh eBay items as soon as today!

This weekend my family is heading to the mountains. My daughter is going to visit Western Carolina on Monday for a college tour. We typically like to go to the mountains in the fall so we are making a weekend of it.
