Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter October 1, 2017

This was my first time representing Best Hobby Pages at a TOR. I even wore the bright neon shirts that Joe, Ron and Dan have sported for many years at shows. Good thing for me too as I sold more BHP than patches of my own at this show.

Mark Graff and I were discussing this topic on the way home as we reflected on the TOR. What is the best way to set up a TOR to drive sales. With my shelving project a flop I was a little handicapped on what I was trying to do and it really pinched my sales. I’ve got three more TORs this fall to figure out a better mouse trap.

One of the reasons I have no regrets about traveling to ATL is the chance to fellowship with so many collectors. I had nice long conversations with several people and got some inspiration for future podcast guests and projects. If you can believe it I even showed restraint when offered a big notebook full of OA from one of the lodges I collect. There was a slim chance that I was going to take the long way home to pick up a collection but that didn’t pan out so I got home just in time to catch my favorite college football team lose a close game.

I have some auctions wishing for a bid. Out of the 175+ auctions ending tomorrow only 3 have bids. What’s wrong with these misfits?
