This weekend the Scout troop has a camping trip to kick off the year in the grassy lot beside the church. This is a joint one-nighter with all the Scouts age K-12 in our program. We are looking at upwards of forty girls spending the night. Talk about a slumber party! My troop is responsible for the campfire program so it should be fun!
I don’t know how one ends up with a lot of 50 NEAL slides that are either lobsters or frying pans but that’s why you read the Hot Finds – to find those funky auction listings you missed.
You might want to click on it but no that is not a vintage OA jewelry pin. I’m not sure it’s a “Claudel” as the seller states but maybe that’s a new category for Bill and John to collect.
I am sure selling lightly used uniforms on eBay this time of year is a good business. However, most of my dupes are khaki green 40+ year old versions. Still what’s the old saying, once official….
Over on www.Patchblanket.com I’ve started listing my 2015 NOAC items up for B-I-N sale. It’s slow going but soon I’ll have them all up to put a wrap on my NOAC strategy.
I’m talking with another adult in my lodge about ideas for a patch history/patch trading session at the upcoming Fall Fellowship. We are trying to think outside the box and listen to what the youth are interested in. So far we’ve come up with an idea to try and set up every youth Arrowmen with their own patch trading album complete with pages. I’ll try and share anything else we come up with.
