This afternoon we are pushing off for our first serious back packing trip as a troop. I confess that this is something I’ve never done before so I’m anxious and excited. We are only going to cover maybe 10 miles over two days so it’s not going to be crazy. We’ve spent two meetings going over equipment and special situations on the trail so I hope we are prepared.
I am continuing to see 2019 WSJ items find their way onto eBay and thankfully for the buyers the prices aren’t as steep as they were months ago. I still have a few things I need to buy in order to fill in my collection but I’m in it for the long run so I can wait.
I got two priority mail boxes in yesterday containing a small collection from a retiree in New Mexico. Today I have a good bit of shipping to knock out and need to leave early to prepare for the trip. So I might not get chance to crack open the boxes until Monday.
I have OA neckerchiefs ending tonight on Patchsniper. On OApatch you can find 291 live auctions as I post tons of WWW on that account. You can find the last of my trail patch collection and a new sale on camp neckerchiefs on the Five Dollar Patch Store.
At last night’s meeting the Scouts played poison and steal the bacon. These are two games that I remember fondly from my youth. I told my daughter that in my troop we went to the meetings to play football and usually we got some scout skills and a patrol meeting in there.
