Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 3, 2023
I just pulled the trigger on attending the National Capitol Area Council TOR on December 1-2. This one has been on my radar for a while now as I generally attend all the shows in the VA-NC-SC area that I can. I hope to see many of you there and will put out a Best Hobby Pages coupon closer to time to allow for free pickup of orders at the show.
Today I’ve got a guy stopping by the warehouse to bring me a collection to look at. I don’t think it’s anything significant. Since Charlotte is a bit of a crossroads with the intersection of I77 and I85 every once in awhile it works out for people to meet me in person.
On eBay I have 219 auctions including loads of RWS shoulder strips and SAPs. It’s always fun to post these community strips because some of them turn out to be surprise needs for collectors.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
