Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 10, 2024
I listen to a lot of eBay YouTube and many sellers have complained that the tensions of the election cycle seemed to be suppressing sales. I don’t really have any empirical evidence to back that up other than my last 30 day sales are down 25% from the prior term. But hopefully things will get back to normal as we steam towards the holidays.
There are plenty of great auctions running this weekend so that should give the Boy Scout category a jolt. I’ve bookmarked dozens of really good listings that I am following here in the Hot Finds.
This time of year is also heavy with TORs so that seems to put some energy into the hobby. I just saw pictures online of what looked like a successful Cincinnati show. There are 5 more shows on my TOR calendar to close out the year.
I have 137 auctions running on eBay including some great camp patches, World Jamboree and more. I’ve also started a new broad sale on over 18K items that has a little for everyone.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
