Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 14, 2017
Loyal readers will note that Sunday I missed publishing an issue of the newsletter. That is very rare indeed however in this case I was taking my mother back to SC and was gone most of the day. Family comes first! This week I should be on target even with leaving early for the St. Louis TOR.
I’ll be riding to the St. Louis TOR in style on board Chris Jensen’s patch bus. It does not have a full bar inside or even a restroom but it will be loaded down with tons of Scout stuff as we cross the MS river to the TOR. Matt Delk is the other passenger and so the tall tales will be flying on this trip for sure. This is my first trip to the show and I’m looking forward to it.
I started the process of packing yesterday by retrieving my dollar boxes from the storage unit. Today I’ve got to dig in deeper and sort out what I have that would interest someone from that area. Luckily I just purchased a Midwest collection so I’ve got some good pickings to choose from there.
On eBay I have been auctioning a bunch of OA two-piece sets that mostly from previous NOACs and Jamborees. I think I’ve got about 300-400 different issues to get listed so this should be a fun project to tackle.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
