Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 17, 2015

I had one of those moments last night that I’m sure you can relate to. There was an eBay auction that I wanted to bid on and I had 36 minutes until it closed. I thought yeah I’ll go downstairs and eat with the family and run back up and bid. I remembered about the auction about 3 hours later. Dooh!

Well here is another good reason to join ISCA. Dave Eby has found the only Invention merit badge known to exist and has the picture on the cover the upcoming ISCA Journal. Considering only 10 were earned this is one of the “Holy Grails” of the hobby. The family is keeping the patch but at least we now have a picture of it!

As we get ready to potentially list our house for sale I’m starting to pack up all the Boy Scout “stuff” that I have in the garage and just about every other room in the house. Living in the same town for 18 years I’ve accumulated lots of stuff that probably needs a new home. I might try going to the Indy TOR with a van load of it priced to move.

I’ve got some auctions ending this week that feature some neat Baden Powell and classic Scouting pieces. These are auctions that didn’t sell the first go around so I lowered the prices to run them again. They include a Mafeking Stamp among others.
