One of the reasons for the trip was to take Best Hobby Pages on the road to a TOR where it has never been before. I had the complete inventory and had several collectors take home plastic. I was also able to sell almost 50 riker cases that I brought to move so the patch bus was just a little bit lighter on the way back to the Carolinas.
I really thought I was not going to play in the silent auctions at the show. But when I got there and saw items for sale with a min bid as low as 25 cents I couldn’t help myself. I came home with a grocery bag full of stuff. The success of the silent auctions at the St. Louis TOR has spurred me to boost the idea for the upcoming Charlotte TOR.
Jim Erickson was there on his way to Florida (good old snow bird) and he was nice enough to show me his great insignia collection. I snapped pictures and thought I’d share this one that has his teens and early 20s collection of combination rank patches. Several pictured are 1st Class Scribe patches which is saying something since I don’t have any of these.
I have continued sharing listings to my eBay Store from my Shopify store that has my total number of listings near 12,000. If I keep going I can into the Top 5 stores in our category which would be a nice milestone to reach.
