Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 22, 2022

Joe Taylor from Texas is coming out with a reference book for the hobby that all of us are going to want to put on our desk. In January he is publishing The Complete Guide To Collecting Wabaningo Emblems. This will a full color book recreating and expanding on the original 1952 book by Dwight Bischel. He has a preorder going on now where you can get the book for $25 plus shipping. I won’t go into the long story of the WABs in this email but you can listen in to this podcast interview with Russell Smart to hear part of that history.

It’s Thanksgiving week so I hope that you have plans to sit down with family Thursday. This year I find myself feeling more thankful than ever. My wife and I actually worked all weekend on getting ready for Thursday and I’m looking forward to helping out in the kitchen.

There is a 311 Koo-Ben-Sho up for bids on eBay (7 days to go). I got mine this year and paid way more than what the minimum bid is on this one. I have it on my watchlist and I’m sure there will be some fireworks as this is one of the hardest flaps to get if you are like me and need 1 for each lodge.

I have 273 live auctions on eBay this week. The last two days have been pretty busy just running errands and I have not even touched the collections I brought home last week. I guess those will wait until after the holidays. I also went to my storage unit this morning and got some more stuff moved back over to the warehouse after the recent renovations. Soon enough I’ll have everything put back together.
