Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 15, 2023
For the last two days I’ve enjoyed having an elf in my shop. Sophia came home from college Wednesday and has been working with me to get some extra spending money. It turns out that being a college student is expensive. Going out with friends especially has drained her budget. So I’ll take the extra help and enjoy her company at the warehouse.
It has been interesting to see some sellers running big sales and trying to get some of the holiday money sloshing around. I have always considered December to be a slow month and am trying to use this time to rearrange some things in the business. Coming out of the gate in 2024 I’ll have several changes to share.
I have 167 live auctions on eBay with many ending Sunday. This run includes lots of SAPs, older event patches and more. I have 16 auctions ending on Santeeswapper Store on some military stuff and interesting shoulder strips. Finally on OApatch you can find 38 auctions on a variety of Order of the Arrow event patches.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
