Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 22, 2024

One of the nice things about Christmas vacation is having our daughter home from college. Sophia got home yesterday and when the topic of working came up I was a little nervous as she ducked out of getting any hours during Thanksgiving. But as she now has $34.87 in her checking account she quickly chimed in that she would report to work Monday morning. 🙂

It’s been a long time since I used to drag her along on TOR trips. But as the first born she has spent many hours sorting and photographing patches. It sounds like she is leaning more and more towards returning to Philmont this summer. We are talking about making a big family trip either get her out there or coming home in a car. She is trying to convince us that most of the staff have their personal vehicles with them.

I have an endless number of projects in the warehouse for us to work on. The big collection I brought home a week ago has not been touched. There are SAPs ready to be photographed along with more merit badges. Part of my goals for 2015 is to use more time blocking strategies to focus on these projects.

I’ve got 80 live auctions running on eBay and ending tonight. As I am resetting my clock for 2025 I have slowed down over the final two weeks of the year putting up new stuff. But when the calendar flips to 2025 I should be at 50/day new items in the store.
