Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 27, 2015

I had a very interesting chat through messaging last night with a local collector who has been very active on eBay and the SPC Facebook Group. We were talking about how he got burned by eBay when items he listed in his eBay store on a free listing day auto-renewed at .20 cent each. This stuck him with a $1,000 eBay bill for items that didn’t sell. Ouch!

The conversation led me to do some thinking but also reminded me about a very popular blog post and video I made about two years ago that can help you decide what is the best store subscription level for you. My friend had the basic store which is why he was hit with a disastrous bill for having thousands of items renew. If you want to see my research on this you can visit this post eBay Spring Seller Update: What It Means For You!

With the calendar about to turn to 2016 there are a lot of TORs coming up. The first one out of the gate is Chris Jensen’s show in Easley, SC. He has moved the date around over the last few years trying to juggle conflicts. Now his show is the first up for the new year on the weekend of Jan 8-9. You can find out more at www.streamwood.net.

In the new year one of my goals will be to boost my eBay store back over 10,000 items. I guess it’s sorta like making resolutions to lose weight – easier said than done! Visit www.Patchblanket.com to see what’s in my store.
