Thanks Max Silber – Great National and World Jamboree Belt Buckles

There have been a ton of Max Silber belt buckles on eBay recently and that got me to thinking that I didn’t really know the story behind this great Scouter and craftsman. After checking in on Wikipedia I learned a lot. His first buckle was produced for the 1950 National Scout Jamboree as a friendship gift as he was the contingent Scoutmaster. Growing up a Scout Max earned the rank of Eagle Scout and the Explorer Silver Award. As an adult he was bestowed the Silver Beaver (Council level), Silver Antelope (Region level) and Silver Buffalo (National level). Max went on to make over fifty buckles to commemorate significant Scouting events such as National and World Jamborees. You can red more about Max Silber on Wikipedia.
