Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 17, 2019

Today is Day 2 of my daughter working on patches to get some extra spending money for her budget. She did a really good job yesterday with no complaints so I’m looking forward to seeing more boxes of patches getting scanned. She did 3 1/2 boxes yesterday which was very productive!

Yes! I actually saw some BHP orders come in last year that were earmarked as holiday gifts. As you know it’s awfully hard to pick out something that the person actually wants and will use. I’ve been listening to the author of a book called “Scroogenomics” who argues that most gifts are wasted because the value of what is given does not equal the perceived value by the recipient. So if you are hard to shop for maybe suggest some Best Hobby Pages as an easy gift that will definitely get used! You can leave a note in the checkout with any special instructions.

In case you missed the video sale that ended Sunday night you can always show the items at www.ScoutPatchLive.com. I don’t look to do another live video before Christmas but I’m working in the background on some stuff to get it ready.

My printer has shipped 1,000 fliers for the Charlotte TOR to my house so I can start mailing them out to the four corners. For months now I’ve included a business card with the details as a save the date type piece. eBay winners as far away as California and Alaska have probably wondered why I would mail them that card. But I want everyone to know the date and now I’ll start sending out a flier with every eBay purchase to give them all the details.

Over the holidays I hope to get some version of New Year’s planning done. Between summer camp, the patch business and family I’ve got a lot to juggle and with some down time over the coming weeks hopefully I can map out what 2020 will look like.
