Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter October 21, 2022

Does this describe any of you? You started out collecting your home lodge/camp/council. For a long time you only cared about those topics so you started accumulating dupes on those items and were happy to have them because after all you collected them exclusively. Over time other people called you when they were ready to cash out and you bought their collections and all these years later you are sitting on a mountain of dupes?

I sounded the call today on Facebook that I’m trying to get out of that business model for my home lodge which is now merging. I have been holding back 1/2 dozen of almost every flap and event patch for YEARS now. Is that a side collection? But with our final lodge event coming up next weekend I’m putting it all out there and hoping I can help others fill their holes. So if you collect Santee 116 shoot me a message because unless it’s the first two flaps I have it in dupe.

I have 149 live auctions on eBay today. This group includes community strips, OA, belt buckles, conclaves and more. I always try and mix it up to keep people looking. There is also a sale going on in my eBay store on 10k activity patches.

Today I am working from home and sorting out all my dupes on that camp/council/lodge collection so I can respond to some lodge brothers that have already hit me up. I’ve had similar stuff on eBay for years but not the really best pieces so this is cracking open the vault.
