Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 31, 2025
An update on my Indy trip. Yesterday I did meet with a guy about buying his collection. This was an older guy who had some great Scouting memories. But when it came time to figure out a price we were too far off. He had a copy of an old price guide and therefore had a number in his head. My number was much less aggressive so in the end we shook hands and he took his stuff home. Sometimes if the deal is right you have to say no.
I will get another chance to swing at the plate Saturday afternoon as I am stopping to visit someone else on the way home. Look for the story on the picking opportunity in the next issue. But for now I got to Indy at a good time and got into the room. Breakfast has been served and soon I will be heading over to the fairgrounds.
Live on eBay I have 239 auctions running on my normal schedule. A big chunk of these will end this weekend. We are typically adding 50 new items to the eBay store every day so always check back to see the new stock.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
