Later this afternoon I have an appointment locally with a bookkeeping and tax service that I want to interview. For some years I have used out of state services including one that was based in Utah. But the communication was terrible, the results were late and just overall it wasn’t working. So I’ve started a spreadsheet of all the local services to find one that would be better.
Like a lot of small businesses my role as chief of every department (sales, marketing etc) includes payroll and taxes. But it’s the last thing I want to do with my time when I have a warehouse full of cloth that needs to get photographed and listed. My LLC has been in existence since 2007 and for almost twenty years I have hated bookkeeping.
My other headache is that in order to even consider getting a commercial loan for a warehouse space they are going to want to see all the reports. Some part of me wishes I could just create my schedule C from a spreadsheet totaling downloads from PayPal and my bank. But I need things to be a lot more professional in order for someone to have faith in the numbers and give me a loan. I am sure many of you can sympathize!
On eBay this week I have 174 live auctions running. Thankfully we have built out the calendar so even when I am in Las Vegas next week everything will run smooth. Since I have completed listing all of my merit badges there is also a sale running in the category on over 1,600 MBs focused on ones from squares to plastic backs.
