Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 22, 2025
I am in the middle of my semi annual giant sort in the back of the warehouse. This is where I take all the collections that I have purchased that are piled up in the corner and get them processed. I sort everything down to a fine comb so that I can photograph and list like items together.
it’s also a bit of a treasure hunt for me as I rediscover things I have purchased and get to experience the thrill of seeing cool stuff I had forgotten about. Some of you have gone through my $1 box of segments at TORs. This is where it all comes from! I get SOOOO many unidentifiable segments in these small box collections and I just drop them all into the dollar box.
Today I should finish sorting everything that has actually been unboxed already. Then comes the fun part! I have a wall of 2-dozen mall box collections that are ready to be cracked open. Typically these were ones that either didn’t have home run items in them or didn’t seem appropriate for a YouTube unboxing video.
I have 204 live auctions on eBay including many OA pieces. Some of the neckerchiefs from the unboxing video I published last week are included in this run.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
