5 Years Ago This Email Changed Everything – The Fablemans and Steven Spielberg Needed Some Help

On May 26, 2021 when I was getting ready to head to the beach for a week long trip with my family my inbox pinged. An email from a Hollywood costumer named Danielle would set of a chain of events that gave me a story worth sharing. In this video I share the complete story of how her request to outfit more than 100 Boy Scouts for a some scenes in a major Hollywood move sent me down a rabbit hole. I also confess in the video that when my family and I went to see the movie on Thanksgiving Day the following year I cried like a baby. This kind of opportunity will probably never happen for me again but am blessed that I got to play a small role in Steven Spielberg’s semi-biographical movie.

I am still buying collections from all over the country and getting them recycled back into Scouting…..just not Hollywood!
